Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication

Secure your account with two-factor authentication for enhanced protection.

What is 2FA?

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security by requiring:

  1. Something you know (your password)
  2. Something you have (your phone or authenticator app)

Setting Up 2FA

Method 1: Authenticator App (Recommended)

  1. Go to Account Settings > Security
  2. Click "Enable 2FA"
  3. Choose "Authenticator App"
  4. Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, Authy, or similar app
  5. Enter the 6-digit code to verify
  6. Save backup codes in a secure location

Method 2: SMS/Text Message

  1. Go to Account Settings > Security
  2. Click "Enable 2FA"
  3. Choose "SMS"
  4. Enter your phone number
  5. Enter the verification code sent to your phone
  6. Save backup codes

Using 2FA at Login

After enabling 2FA, you will:

  1. Enter your email and password
  2. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app or SMS
  3. Click "Verify" to access your account

Backup Codes

  • Generated when you set up 2FA
  • Use these if you lose access to your 2FA device
  • Each code can only be used once
  • Store them securely (not on your phone)

Disabling 2FA

  1. Go to Account Settings > Security
  2. Click "Disable 2FA"
  3. Confirm with your password
  4. Note: This reduces your account security
