Managing Product Variants
# Managing Product Variants
Variants allow customers to choose different options for the same product.
## What are Variants?
Variants are different versions of the same product:
- Size (Small, Medium, Large)
- Color (Red, Blue, Green)
- Material (Cotton, Polyester, Silk)
- Style (V-neck, Crew neck)
## Setting Up Variants
### Step 1: Define Options
Add up to 3 option types per product:
- Option 1: Size
- Option 2: Color
- Option 3: Material
### Step 2: Create Combinations
System creates all combinations:
- Small + Red + Cotton
- Small + Red + Polyester
- Small + Blue + Cotton
- etc.
### Step 3: Set Details for Each Variant
For each variant combination:
- SKU (unique stock code)
- Price (can differ from base price)
- Inventory quantity
- Barcode
- Weight
## Variant Pricing Strategies
### Same Price Across Variants
All sizes cost the same.
### Different Prices
Large sizes cost more:
- Small: $29.99
- Medium: $29.99
- Large: $34.99
- X-Large: $34.99
### Variant-Specific Images

## Managing Variant Inventory
Each variant has its own inventory:

- Set different low stock alerts
- View sales by variant
